The Y AKA Plongée Dive Center

On the beach, on the edge of the Rangiroa lagoon.

Our base, on the beach

Y AKA Plongée is set on the beach, on the edge of the lagoon, between the Kia Ora hotel and Rangiroa's public beach. The dive sites are a few minutes away by boat: we come back to shore between every dive, for a tea or coffee break, a rest in the hammock or on a deckchair.

The center is open 7 days a week, all year round, from 7 am to 5 pm.

The team

Stéphane, Hiti, Thibault, Natuanui and Alexis welcome you at the center. We take the time to get to know you, and your instructor adapts every dive to your level and wishes.

The boats: a Mark 5 zodiac (Yamaha 60 hp engine) and two Apex boats (Mercury 90 hp engines).

Safety and insurance

We follow all the safety rules that apply in French Polynesia, including oxygen and a first aid kit on board. In French Polynesia, diving is regulated by deliberation no. 92-176 of 20 October 1992 (in French).

Y AKA Plongée and its staff hold third-party liability insurance; we strongly recommend individual dive insurance.
