Yes, all the equipment is included: regulator, BCD, mask, fins and wetsuit, by SCUBAPRO. Tanks are 15-litre aluminium, for longer dives, and 12-litre for discovery dives and shallow dives.
Y AKA Plongée and its staff hold third-party liability insurance. We strongly recommend individual dive insurance covering personal injury: the costs of a diving accident are very high.
We follow all the safety rules that apply in French Polynesia, including oxygen and a first aid kit.
We accept euros, US dollars and bank cards, except American Express. From 2027, a 50% deposit will be required when booking.
If you cancel less than one week before, 50% of the price is kept; less than 48 hours before, 100%. If we have to cancel because of the weather or the current, the dive is postponed, or refunded if it cannot be postponed. Weather mostly affects discovery dives; it is very rare for exploration dives.
It is not required, including for courses. You will be given a medical questionnaire: you can read its questions on the French Polynesia Youth and Sports department website (in French). A fitness-to-dive certificate from a doctor who knows diving is still recommended.
We follow the DAN recommendations:
- a single no-decompression dive: wait at least 12 hours;
- repetitive dives or several days of diving: at least 18 hours;
- a dive with required decompression stops: at least 24 hours.

Yes, a one-hour trip to the Aquarium: all equipment is provided, you just need to be able to swim.
